diego “Pato” batista

Diego Oliveira Batista, commonly known as “Pato” (duck in Portuguese), is a Black Belt light-featherweight Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor currently training at Art of Jiu Jitsu. Originally from the Brazilian state of Amazonas, Diego made a name for himself in the sport of BJJ by competing for the São Paulo based team Projeto Social Lutando Pelo Bem (PSLPB), a time when he conquered important titles in the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) circuit, including the World, Pan, and Brazilian National Championships.

Aidan and Jacob started jiujitsu at the ages of 4 and 5 years old at Golden State JiuJitsu. In the Summer of 2022, they competed at their first JJWL competition and that’s when their love of competition started. At the end of 2022, they moved to Carlson Gracie South Bay and joined CG’s competition team. The Burpee Brothers have been competing non-stop, traveling the nation, and training everyday to add to their jiujitsu game. They are not only regular training partners, but best friends.
